Adjacent to a Greenway office building, the interior design effortlessly evokes the backwoods of Louisiana prairies anchored by modern design elements like the floor to ceiling windows that wash the restaurant in beautiful natural light.
During each of my visits, the staff were friendly in a way that I can only describe as embodying undeniable Louisiana charm. Sure, most of them aren’t from Louisiana, but the charm? Undeniable.

Express Lunch
For business lunches or just a casual “let’s meet up” occasion, Eunice has a great express lunch deal. The $21 express lunch features a daily rotating menu that ranges from Fried Chicken with red beans & rice to Court-Bouillon, a popular Louisiana seafood stew.
Short Rib Ragout
During my lunch visit, I opted for the seasonal short rib ragout served over a bed of creamy grits with roasted vegetables – one of the most comforting lunches I’ve had in a while.
Each express lunch special is served with your choice of chicken and sausage gumbo or salad. I love a good gumbo and was pleasantly surprised Eunice serves their gumbo with a scoop of potato salad garnished with a pork rind. Potato salad with gumbo seems to be a divisive topic in most of the foodie groups I participate in, but I’ve always known this as a regional indicator for Cajun/Louisiana cooking. Good food is good food.
Three Finger Martini
The Express Lunch comes with the drink option of iced tea or Eunice’s three-finger martini. I usually opt for the martini, because yes.
Happy Hour at Eunice
When a late lunch overlaps with Happy Hour, you roll with it. Eunice’s happy hour is available Monday through Friday from 3-6 PM and features $1 Galveston oysters, half off snacks, beer, specialty cocktails, and house wines by the glass.
Chicken Liver Mousse
As adventurous as I believe my palate to be, I was shocked that I’d never tried liver mousse. To be fair, I don’t think I’ve been to many restaurants that offer it, but still… keeping true with my foodie principles: if you’re curious, you should try it. So I did!
Eunice serves a flavorful chicken liver mousse with seasonal fruit jam, flaky sea salt and crusty bread that will have you wiping the plate. I’m unsure if I’d order this every time, but I enjoyed the experience. Have you tried chicken liver mousse before?
Off-menu Short Rib Arancini
You know I love a good off-menu moment! During one Eunice Happy Hour visits, they offered arancini, deep fried Italian rice balls, stuff with short rib and served with a creamy romoulade. These were so good!
Obviously, off-menu means you may not get to experience these delicious bites when you visit, but take my word that you should be open to their special menu items when they’re available.
Bread Pudding
Getting dessert during happy hour is a thing, right? Eunice’s delicious bread pudding comes in a ramekin overflowing with warm brown butter caramel and a perfect scoop of refreshing butter pecan ice cream. Get it.
Seasonal Cocktails
What’s a happy hour without a good drink? Aside from their wine list, Eunice’s bar pours up both classic and festive cocktails and sometimes the two collide. Like this wintery old Fashioned that lives rent-free in my head.
Pecan Praline Old Fashioned
Made with Pecan-infused Bourbon, Steen’s syrup, walnut bitters, toasted pecans and orange peel garnish, I could drink this pecan praline old fashioned by the gallon. (Drink responsibly, though!) I enjoyed it so much, I regularly make myself an inspired version at home.
Final Thoughts on Eunice
Eunice is a great option for a unique Cajun culinary experience. From the service to menu offerings, it’s a great option for business lunches and social hours. Don’t miss my upcoming review of the their ‘Supper’ service.
